Well I have been slowly trying to unbury myself! Seems I have been spending so much time running around with a variety of things going on, time has just been at such a premium...which means blogging sits in the back seat!
In News-
On Sunday, June 8, Bill and I as Co-Directors along with the Cleveland Touring Club put on a capacity filled successful event, the Sunday in June Ride which had distances ranging from 25-100 miles! It was a scenic route out by my stomping grounds.
My husband bought a mountain bike about a month ago. We have been riding about 3 times a week together and so finally last week I broke down and got myself one too. It was time to upgrade the ole garage heavy model that had trouble shifting into the big chain ring!

This was my first time on real trails. We went with CTC Xterra newbie group...really appreciated them showing my husband and I the ropes and waiting on our beginner behinds! First 30 minutes were a little scary. I have a whole new appreciation for this sport. Husband and I definitely broke our bodies and bikes in with scrapes, bruises and crashes, yet we managed to have a blast! Now to get better!

Congrats on the successful Sunday in June Ride, and on the new mountain bike. You are putting in some serious miles on the bikes. 70 miles in total on Sunday is great.
Oh fun! Glad to hear you guys are mtb together. I have never been on a trail on a bike, sounds like a dangerous combo with my clumsy ass involved!
Hey Janet, I've been waiting a while to hear what you've been up to. (I guess I could call right) The funny thing is that my friends took me for my first MTN bike ride 2 weeks ago...that sh!t is FOR REAL! We did the Ohio Erie Canal, they say West Branch is even tougher than that! Good job, not sure when I'll be doing it again, safer to run I think! :)
Definitely some nice MTN bike trails at West Branch.. I'll stick to running them though!
